Face First: Vibhuti Arora on the power of face yoga and the beauty of ageing gracefully.
No fillers. No filters. Just the face—and the woman—behind a beauty revolution.
There’s a quiet elegance to Vibhuti Arora — a sense of calm that instantly puts you at ease. Warm, grounded, and effortlessly composed; she has the kind of presence that makes you lean in and want to listen. It’s no surprise that she’s built a global community around her holistic approach to beauty - one that champions natural skincare, mindful movement, and the power of self-awareness.
Founder of House of Beauty India and Face Yoga School, Vibhuti is at the forefront of a growing shift towards non-invasive skincare. But her journey here wasn’t shaped by trends - it was deeply personal, sparked by years of navigating an autoimmune skin condition and a growing frustration with the limitations of conventional beauty treatments.
Over the course of our conversation, what stood out most was not just her knowledge, but her sincerity. There’s no hard sell, no lofty wellness jargon — just a passion for helping people reconnect with their skin, and a belief that beauty should feel empowering, not overwhelming.
From Personal Struggle to Purpose
Vibhuti’s journey into wellness began with something far from glamorous. After relocating to India from Dubai, she was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune skin condition that left her constantly flaring and searching for answers.
“I was always drawn to beauty,” she explains, “but I couldn’t find anything that worked. Every treatment seemed to make things worse.” Her turning point came when she started looking closely at what she was putting on her skin and began healing it from within instead.
“There were no clean beauty brands in India at the time. I had to dissect every product, check every label, and slowly piece together what my skin could actually tolerate.”
That journey sparked the birth of House of Beauty India, a brand rooted in natural ingredients, clean formulations, and a deep understanding of how skin, stress, lifestyle, and diet all play a role. She didn’t stop there. Vibhuti went on to write a book, develop original face yoga techniques, and create a certification programme that now empowers women globally to teach face yoga and build their own wellness careers.
So, What Exactly Is Face Yoga?
If you’re picturing someone randomly pressing their face with oils, think again.
“Face yoga is about understanding the 57+ muscles in your face and learning how to engage and train them—just like you would with your body,” Vibhuti says.
Her signature method is built around five structured steps:
Facial Stretching
Facial Cardio
Traditional Yogic Poses (inspired by the Rig Veda)
Breathwork
Face Tools for enhanced results
What makes her method stand out is its thoughtful, prescriptive structure. “Online, people are doing all sorts of techniques with no real understanding of why. That’s where my method is different — it’s designed to be effective, safe, and sustainable.”
Less, but Smarter: How Often Should You Practise?
One of the most common misconceptions is that more is better. Vibhuti is clear:
“Face yoga isn’t something to practise daily. These are small muscles—we need to give them time to recover. Three times a week is plenty.”
She explains that many people overuse certain muscles (hello, frown lines) without even realising. The goal with face yoga is to retrain those patterns, not reinforce them.
Forget the Quick Fix Culture - This Is Long-Term Beauty
We live in a time where speed has become the gold standard—especially in beauty. Whether it’s injectables, filters, or facials that promise instant results, the pressure to look “fresh” is constant.
But as Vibhuti gently points out, quick results often come at a cost.
“There’s this idea that face yoga is slow or doesn’t work - but it does. And more importantly, it doesn’t damage your muscles in the process.”
She’s had clients come in after years of fillers and Botox, now dealing with puffiness or asymmetry. “A lot of them are dissolving injectables and turning to face yoga to restore balance. The results may take longer, but they’re safer, more sustainable, and support overall muscle and skin health.”
Tried and Tested: Exercises You Can Do Right Now
Vibhuti shared a few of her go-to exercises that can easily be added to your routine:
1. Frown Relaxer
Place your palm gently over your eyebrows. Raise and lower your brows 20 times, feeling the resistance under your hand. This helps retrain the forehead muscles and reduce frown lines over time.
2. Slap & Smile Technique
A favourite with celebs like Malaika Arora, this involves gently slapping from the chin up to the temples while smiling. It wakes up the skin, boosts blood flow, and gives a fresh, natural lift.
3. Pinky Pinch for Cheek Lift
Using your pinky fingers, lightly pinch and lift along the cheekbones. This helps tone sagging muscles and mimic the effect of a Gua Sha or facial sculpting tool—just with your hands.
Skincare Meets Science
Beyond face yoga, Vibhuti has created a full ecosystem of skincare, tools and diagnostics that combine ancient wisdom with modern innovation. Think AI-generated skincare routines, predictive ageing analysis based on personality traits (yes, really!), and personalised product recommendations.
“We’ve mapped common ageing patterns to lifestyle and personality. Someone who’s hyperactive, for example, is more prone to frown lines and hollow cheeks. Once we understand that, we can prevent those signs before they set in.”
Her Must-Have Tools
If you’re just starting out, here are the three tools Vibhuti swears by:
24K Gold Face Massager – for lymphatic drainage
Face Cupping Set – for lifting and collagen support.
Microcurrent Tool – for overall muscle tone and facial structure
She compares them to using brushes instead of fingers for makeup: more precision, better results.
Daily Rituals That Keep Her Centred
With so much on her plate, I asked Vibhuti what she never skips in her day:
Morning water (with collagen or herbs, depending on the season)
One-minute lymphatic massage using her custom oil.
Movement—be it yoga, walking, or simply getting her steps in
And the oil of choice? For breakout-prone skin, she uses House of Beauty’s
Tea Tree Avocado Oil. For anti-ageing, she loves antioxidant-rich blends like red raspberry and passionfruit seed oil.
From Healing to Helping Others Thrive
Beyond her own transformation, Vibhuti has made it her mission to help others feel good in their skin too. Through the Face Yoga School by House of Beauty, she offers global certification programmes that allow women to become face yoga instructors and earn side incomes.
From clients like Malaika Arora, Nina Ambani and Smriti Irani, to everyday women looking for a fresh start, her techniques have touched countless lives—and faces.
And if you’re wondering if she’s seen real transformations? Absolutely. “We’ve had clients dissolve years of facial tension, restore symmetry, and glow again. The change is visible—but what’s more powerful is how they feel.”

My thoughts
Vibhuti’s approach is proof that slowing down doesn’t mean doing less - it means doing better. Her work reminds us that beauty isn’t just about what you apply, but how you show up for yourself, daily.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by skincare, or unsure where to begin, this could be the place to start. Simple, conscious, and rooted in self-awareness—because your face tells your story. And with the right care, it can tell it beautifully.
